All the best events and activities in Bridgeport, WV
July 27 – August 2, 2026 · Issue #01Welcome to the very first issue of The Bridgeport Insider! Every Sunday evening, we'll land in your inbox with everything worth knowing for the week ahead — the events, activities, and happenings in and around Bridgeport, from free library programs and youth sports to big shows just a short drive away in Clarksburg. Think of it as your hometown briefing: one quick read, and your week is planned.
And what a week to start with — we're closing out July in style as the city's beloved Citywide Yard Sale takes over neighborhoods on Saturday, festival season hits full stride across North Central West Virginia, and there's still plenty of summer left to soak up before the back-to-school rush begins.
Heads up: Event details can change — dates, times, and locations are pulled from organizer announcements and local news, but please confirm with organizers before heading out. Summer schedules for recurring programs may vary.
★ This Week's Featured Event ★
Bridgeport Citywide Yard Sale
The whole town turns out for this one. Bridgeport's 11th annual citywide treasure hunt returns Saturday, with well over a hundred homes typically on the official participant list — and plenty more joining unofficially. Veterans start early (many sellers open before 8) and map their route the night before. Whether you're hunting furniture, kids' gear, or that one thing you didn't know you needed, this is the biggest community day of the summer. Registering your own sale? Email [email protected] to get on the city's list.
