All the best events and activities in Bridgeport, WV
Oct 12–18, 2026 · Issue #12
Mid-October is peak fall in north central West Virginia, and this week is a quiet one in the best way: corn mazes, harvest festivals, a Sunday matinee, and plenty of time to enjoy the leaves. October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and local businesses are rallying with fundraisers all month long.
Halloween season is ramping up too, with a packed lineup of trunk-or-treats and fall fests coming the following week (see the Look Ahead). As always, this lands in your inbox Sunday evening so you can plan the week ahead.
Heads up: Times, prices and details can change, and some listings do not include full information. Please confirm with the organizer before heading out.

Edge of Town Farm Market corn maze in Bridgeport, WV
Edge of Town Glow Maze & Corn Maze Season
Glow Maze: Fri Oct 16 & Sat Oct 17, dark until 10 PM · 1165 Anmoore Rd (Route 58)
Edge of Town Farm Market has launched corn maze season, and this is the weekend for little ones: the Glow Maze is a kid-friendly after-dark run with glow sticks and flashlights, perfect if the full haunted version is too much. During the day, the regular maze is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM. Saturdays are the day for tractor rides - the hayride takes you up to the maze and you walk back to the market across the creek. Plan on lunch at the Green Tomato Café (sandwiches, hoagies, burgers and fried green tomatoes) before or after, and grab pumpkins and cornstalks while you are there (mums are running low, so go early for those). There are giant Connect 4 and ring toss games in the back, and the Doggie Diner has treats for the four-legged family members. Prices were not listed, so check with the market. Groups can call Corbin at 304-629-4648. The Haunted Maze with actors comes the next two weekends (see the Look Ahead).
